ExploringYour College Campus
filled with great places to explore, historical buildings and some really great outdoor open spaces. It would be a shame not to take advantage of seeing what your college campus is all about while you’re there, plus you’ll get some exercise and maybe even a few interesting stories to tell your friends in the process.

One way to find out more about what your campus has to offer is to check out your school’s website. Often, it will highlight buildings on campus that have a special history or point out new places for you to check out. You can also find out about events that are going on in auditoriums, buildings and parks that you might not otherwise have an excuse to visit.

For those who want to go their own road, sometimes it can be a bit more fun and more adventurous to simply set out to explore your college campus on your own. Pick a direction and simply start walking. Or, if you’re busy, just take a new path home from class. No matter how you choose to do it, you’ll get a chance to see more of your campus and gain a better understanding of what it means to go to school there.

If your campus is older, make sure to also explore the insides of buildings. You may find fascinating architecture, paintings and sculptures you didn’t know about. In some cases, you may find whole exhibits of art and science from bygone eras.

And your explorations don’t have to stop at the edges of your college campus. Take a bike ride through some of the neighborhoods surrounding your school, explore local libraries and museums and see what kind of local festivals and events there are. It’s not only a great way to find new things to do but can also help you make new friends, find inspiration for school work and give your everyday life some excitement.

Some of the best things on your college campus might take a little searching for and won’t be along your daily path to and from class. That doesn’t mean that these locations and events aren’t worth seeking out if you have the time. By really exploring your college campus, not just the places you have courses or hang out, you’ll get a more well-rounded and full experience of being a student there and gain a better understanding of your college’s history and community
