Pain is inevitable
Pain, a word that is always associated with getting hurt. The real question now is how it hurt. There are two different kinds of pain; physical and mental. The physical aspect of pain is like falling from something, cutting your arm, or stubbing your toe. The mental part is hurting someone?s feeling from saying something harsh or doing something to them emotionally, which hurts inside. The causes and effects of physical and mental pain are very different but can be both equally devastating and even more dramatic with emotionally disturbed people.
Causes for physical pain are purely explainable. In all cases it hurts. In most cases I get hurt physically; it is from doing something really stupid. One great example is the time I was twelve and broke my leg. I was in a swing with my eyes closed, not paying attention, and my leg got caught under the swing coming back around and broke my leg. The cause was my not paying attention to what I was doing and it hurt. The actual cause for physical pain can be very different scenarios, but it can also be terribly dramatic. One of my best friend?s brothers was riding in a car with someone who was high, drunk, and tired. They had just gotten done with a party and were heading home. As they were going home, the truck went off the road and flipped on his head. He is now mentally and physically disabled and can not do anything without help from his parents.
The effects from physical pain can be something easy or something very difficult to deal with. When I broke my leg the effect was I had to wear a cast for two months. The effects are always going to be different as well. For my friend?s brother, he will be a paraplegic for the rest of his life. The effects of physical pains are the broadest ranged category because anything can happen, or not happen.
The cause for mental pain is a very complex category. Some people don?t even know that they have hurt someone mentally. It could be from saying something, doing something, or from not doing anything at all. Emotions are the most unstable and unpredictable feelings. Saying something like this doesn?t taste good can be the effect of getting slapped, or making someone cry. Driving over an animal will not only hurt the animal, but the person who owned it will definitely not be happy. The cause for mental pain is things that hurt our feelings and can normally be stopped if we had only thought about what we were about to do.
Effects from mental pain are generally the most conscious effects we have. These are the effects that come from the heart; our emotions are triggered by these feelings. What people say and do can have very hurtful effects on others. If a son said to a father I hate you, the father will be hurt and the effect is that he will think he is a horrible father. These feelings leave permanent emotional scars on people and can be devastating to the people it effects. Some people can not forgive in these situations and it can ruin people?s relationships.
Death, one other way that can hurt mentally is also a rough way to think about pain. My stepbrother?s father died recently. He was pretty upset and he was hurt, but he will get over the pain of losing a loved one. This pain is the one kind of pain that will always leave you hurt. You don?t know that you are going to get hurt by knowing a person till they are gone. The mental pain death can create could make you crazy. Losing someone you care about is the worst pain to suffer, but the depressing effects it can have will possibly come out for the worst.
Now there are some people who combine the different forms of pain. People who are undergoing mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety have tendencies to release their mental pain into physical pain and self mutilate themselves. This has severe effects and is usually caused by something traumatic or chemical imbalances in the brain. The effects of this can make your condition worse and just create a never ending cycle because some people become dependant upon self mutilation. The effects can also hurt loved ones and give them pain as well. The people that undergo these phases normally are not thinking of the people it can hurt and can cause a lot more harm than good.
Pain is a very spontaneous event that has the effect that is critical to human life. The cause of what causes the pain is normally something that you would never figure to happen but somehow know it can. The cause for pain in every action can cause an effect that can be life altering but the feelings that cause pain are very consequential and important to everyday life.
