Yet, this morning something went wrong with your work. You woke up as usually, had a light breakfast, and turned on your computer. Five minutes, fifteen minutes, half an hour, and… nothing. You have not written a single word and you even have no idea what to write about.

Do not hurry to call your doctor. You do not have any sort of terrible illness. It is just the writer’s block – a problem that all PhD thesis writers face sooner or later. Have a rest

Actually, the reason for such problem as the writer’s block is pretty banal. You are simply tired, because work on your PhD thesis takes all your time and strengths. You need to have a rest, and that is for sure. Have a walk, try to get out of the city. Changing settings usually helps.

Do something else

If you do not have a chance to go somewhere, keep on working on your PhD thesis, just do something different.
