The Effect of Voltage on a Current Through a Filament Lamp

The Effect of Voltage on a Current Through a Filament Lamp
Equipment: ? Power Supply. (Ranging from 0V to 6V). ? Variable Resistor. ? Ammeter. ? Voltmeter. ? 6V Filament Lamp. ? 7 Wires. Definitions: Ammeter ? This is a device that measures the current of electrons in Amps. It has to be placed in Series on the circuit. Voltmeter ? This is a device for measuring the potential difference of the electrons in the circuit. They are measured in Volts. It is placed in Parallel. Variable Resistor ? This acts in the same way as a normal resistor, to resist the current, but this one can have a variable (changeable) resistance. In this particular circuit, it is in Parallel Circuit Diagram: -??????- [image] [image] Plan: ? To draw a circuit diagram. ? To make a prediction of what might happen during the experiment and what the results may be like, and use previous knowledge or science knowledge to explain the prediction. Also to predict what shape line/curve the graph might show. ? To build a circuit using the equipment mentioned above, following the circuit diagram.

Aim: The aim of this investigation is to investigate how light intensity affects the rate of photosynthesis. Plan: I plan to put a pondweed into a beaker filled with 400 ml of water and 100 ml of sodium hydrogen carbonate. Then shine a lamp 15 cm away from the beaker onto it and I will count the number of bubbles for 2 minutes. After recording results will move the lamp away 5 cm further away and start ton record again for 2 minutes. I?m going to do this until the lamp is 35 cm away from the lamp. Variables: Light Intensity ? The plant needs light for photosynthesis to occur, so if the light intensity were increased the rate of photosynthesis would increase as well because the chlorophyll would be able to absorb more light. Wavelength (color of light)- The pondweed cannot absorb green light because the chlorophyll itself is green and it reflects the green light (reason you it is green).

Dickens was born into a poor family. When he was 12 his father was imprisoned for debt. Dickens was removed from school and put to work in a blacking factory. He lived alone in a lodging house in North London. His father received inheritance after a few months and Charles finally returned to school, but his money troubles were not over. Writing a narrative essay is an essential talent for field research. Rather than summing things up for your reader, it presents your experience and allows them to draw their own conclusions. The narrative essay makes it point by subtly guiding the reader, rather than battering them the way a rhetorical essay would.

Influences in Darwin's Thinking
Thomas Malthus and Charles Lyell were two figures who influenced Darwin?s theories.
Malthus was an influence through his book on the population principle. Darwin had a
parallel thinking in the concept of individual struggle in natural selection. Lyell?s
influence on Darwin was from his book ?Principles?. Darwin agreed with Lyell?s
uniformitarian theories, and the uniformitarian understanding helped Darwin explain the
elements of natural selection.
